It is with heavy hearts that we announce the upcoming shutdown of Adaptable.io. As founders, we have poured our energy, passion, and countless hours into building and improving this platform with the goal of making life easier for developers. Adaptable has been more than a business to us; it has been a labor of love and a mission to empower developers with the tools to create and deploy all of your creative and amazing applications. We’ve truly enjoyed helping so many new and seasoned entrepreneurs get their apps running in the cloud. This decision was not made lightly, and it saddens us deeply to bring this chapter to a close.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to each of you who placed your trust in us. Your support and feedback have meant the world to us.
»Important Dates and Details
Immediately: Any app with an active, paid subscription will be eligible for a pro-rated refund of up-front subscription fees from the date you delete the app. See below for details.
February 15, 2025: All apps on Adaptable.io will be paused. However, they will not be deleted, and your data will remain accessible.
March 15, 2025: All remaining apps and associated data will be permanently deleted. After this date, data will be unrecoverable.
We urge you to migrate your applications and download your data before these dates.
For customers on usage-based plans who need more time, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to accommodate short extensions.
»Subscription and Refund Information
- App subscriptions will continue to renew until the app is deleted.
- Team subscriptions will continue to renew until all apps are deleted or the organization is deleted.
- We will issue pro-rated refunds for up-front subscription fees only, based on the remaining time and usage of your apps from the date they are deleted.
- Usage charges will be billed as normal.
- Please allow up to two weeks for refunds to be processed.

»Exporting database data
If you need to export your data from an Adaptable database, you can use your database's native backup and restore tools to accomplish this. For example, you can use mongodump or pg_dump to export MongoDB and PostgreSQL, respectively.
You can find your database's connection string to use with these tools by going to your App Status page, clicking on the Resources tab, then under Databases, click Connection Information.
